Do my clients need an account to report bugs?

No. Guest access is on by default — anyone can pin a bug and leave a comment with just their name and email. No sign-up, no passwords. If you want tighter control, you can enable client login with one-time codes or restrict to authenticated users only.

What's included in every plan?

Everything. Screen recording, error monitoring, Jira two-way sync, Slack notifications, white-label branding, source map symbolication, annotations, repro steps — all of it. Plans only differ by team size, number of projects, and monthly pin limits.

How does the Jira integration work?

Connect your Atlassian account via OAuth. New bugs automatically create Jira issues with the screenshot, context, and annotations attached. Status changes sync both ways — update in Jira and it updates in Lantern, and vice versa. Comments sync too.

Is there built-in error monitoring?

Yes. Enable it per-site and Lantern passively captures JS errors, unhandled promise rejections, and network failures in the background. Upload your source maps and stack traces are automatically symbolicated with original file names, line numbers, and source context. Errors are grouped by fingerprint with 7-day trend charts.

Does the widget affect my site's performance?

The widget is a single ~115 KB gzipped script that loads asynchronously. It runs inside Shadow DOM so there are zero CSS conflicts. It doesn't touch your DOM until a user opens it, and all network requests are batched. Error monitoring runs passively with no visible UI.

Can I white-label Lantern for my agency?

Yes. Customise the button colour, icon, size, and position. Add your agency name, URL, and logo. Your clients see your brand, not ours. Available on every plan.

Question 8

What happens if I hit my plan limits?

Accepted Answer

You'll see a usage warning in the dashboard. Bug reports from guests are paused until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. Existing bugs, comments, and data are never deleted due to limits.
